BrightEdge Secures $6.5M Investment by Top Tier Venture Firm

 Battery Ventures Partner and Former Google Manager Leads Latest Round of Financing

SAN MATEO, Calif – March 16, 2010 – BrightEdge, the on-demand leader in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Management, today announced that it has raised $6.5M in additional funding. The new funding round was led by Battery Ventures, with existing investors Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures also participating. BrightEdge will use this investment to accelerate its entry into the market and expand engineering and operations to support a fast growing number of customers on its leading SEO platform.

With this new investment, Battery Ventures Partner and former Google manager Satya Patel will join BrightEdge's Board of Directors. Satya brings deep expertise in the online marketing industry from his recent investments at Battery and at Google where he helped build the AdSense business through various partner development and product management activities.
