BrightEdge, a digital marketing software and services company, has closed $42.8 million in Series D round of funding led by Insight Venture Partners along with prior investors Intel Capital, Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures.

The latest round brings the total raised by the 150- person San Mateo-based company to $65 million since it was founded in 2007.
