According to a study conducted by search engine optimization platform BrightEdge, retail, financial services and technology brands could’ve earned $112 million more in sales if they had utilized, as a release issued this morning puts it, “more aggressive or effective search optimization activities.” On average, the survey found, lackluster SEO practices meant there was $51 million out there that retail and financial services companies each could’ve earned.
