Jim Yu, CEO and Founder

Jim is the founder and CEO of BrightEdge. He combines in-depth expertise in developing and marketing large on-demand software platforms with hands-on experience in advanced SEO practices. Prior to founding BrightEdge, Jim was at Salesforce.com where he led a core part of the platform products team that delivered the industry's first cloud computing platform. At Aether Systems, Jim ran the product management team responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the innovative Scoutware line of wireless products. At Mercator Software (now IBM), Jim directed the development of Mercator Integration Broker, an industry leading enterprise software product, generating over $100 million in revenue.

Jim holds an MBA from Stanford University, a Master's of Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Dakota.

Lemuel Park, CTO and Founder

Lemuel is the founding CTO of BrightEdge. He brings 10 years of industry knowledge and experience in building enterprise class solutions for the largest companies in the world. Prior to BrightEdge, he was a manager at Ernst & Young where he led IT and security consulting projects for Fortune 100 companies across multiple industry sectors, including high-tech, financial services, health care, and insurance.

Lemuel holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Albert Gouyet, VP of Product Marketing

Albert is BrightEdge's VP of Product Marketing. He brings over 20 years of broad technology and senior management experience from Netscape, AOL, Sybase as well as venture backed private companies. At AOL, Albert was Vice President of Web Clients and Services where he led the team responsible for developing and implementing a new strategy for Search for Netscape and CompuServe, which culminated with the game-changing partnership between AOL and Google. Albert was also VP Marketing at Quantivo, Nominum, and Pivia (now F5), and VP Engineering and co-founder at Neuron Data (IPO as Blaze Software).

Albert holds engineering degrees from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris and Ecole des Telecommunications, Paris, and an MBA from Stanford University.

Sammy Yu, Chief Architect

Sammy is the Chief Architect at BrightEdge. He is one of the leading experts in the design and implementation of software architectures for handling massive amounts of data. Previously to joining BrightEdge, he worked at Digg where he built the search engine platform and introduced the popular concept of "query deserves freshness". Prior to Digg, he worked on large scale enterprise management software for nine years at Hewlett-Packard.

Sammy holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Barrett Foster, VP of Strategic Accounts and Head of Sales

Barrett is BrightEdge's VP of Strategic Accounts and Head of Sales. He brings over 15 years of customer focused sales leadership and senior management experience in software sales from NetBase, Integrated Decision Systems, MicroPatent and Thomson Financial Services. At NetBase, Barrett was VP of Sales and Support where he led the entrance into the social media market and developed a world class client roster of Fortune 500 firms that transformed the company. At Integrated Decision Systems, he was VP Of Global Sales where he drove customer acquisition and strategic partnerships, leading to record revenue growth and the acquisition by CheckFree APL. Before entering the software business, Barrett worked in Corporate Finance at NBD and Credit Lyonnais.

Barrett holds a BA in Economics from University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Rolland Yip, Director of Product Management

Rolland is the Director of Product Management at BrightEdge. He brings experience delivering user-friendly enterprise class Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. Prior to BrightEdge, Rolland was at Salesforce.com where he led product strategy and marketing initiatives focused on growing Salesforce.com's customer footprint into large enterprises. Before Salesforce.com, Rolland was a technology consultant at Ernst & Young, where he consulted for Fortune 100 companies in the Media & Entertainment, High-Tech and Financial Services industries.

Rolland holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
