About the Company

The provider offers inventory counting, supply chain, and asset tagging services. Demand shows up the moment a customer needs it, as a search on Google and increasingly on ChatGPT. The company meets that demand across 55 websites in 20 languages, and the entire search strategy behind all of them sits with one person on the marketing team, managing SEO as one part of a much broader role.

The Challenge

Without a dedicated SEO team, and without native fluency in most of the languages the company operates in, its SEO lead has to check the data for every market to know what is working. In the UK, the industry term is "stocktaking," one word. In Australia, customers search the two-word "stock taking," a distinction nobody on the local team had thought to check until the data made it obvious.

The timing added to it. The team was in the middle of migrating all 55 sites to a new platform as part of a full rebrand, new logo, new uniforms, new equipment, without losing the SEO progress already built.

The Solution

The team does not treat 20 languages as 20 separate problems. Markets are organized into language clusters, with a workflow built around Data Cube X and Content Advisor. Keyword research done for Germany also informs Austria and Switzerland.

Using Content Advisor, they build in-language thought leadership content around the keyword clusters they are targeting, drafts that get published to the website and LinkedIn with only minor edits.

Data Cube X showed that Australian customers search "stock taking" as two words at an average of 1,100 monthly searches, more than four times the volume of the UK spelling "stocktaking" at 221.

The Results

Since the company started using BrightEdge, every market where it has been deployed has seen rankings, sessions, and web leads increase year over year. In Germany, average keyword ranking improved 51%, and organic sessions grew 395% over the same period. Across all 55 websites globally, average keyword ranking improved 45%.

Keywords ranking in the top 10 for its Australian site nearly quadrupled over the past year, from 19 in June 2025 to 72 in June 2026.

The Outcome

The company started with 10 domains on BrightEdge a year ago and expanded to 15 this year, with a plan to bring all 20 language markets onto the platform. FAQs are now standard across every website, set once and applied globally.

The team has also connected search performance to revenue. Through an internal CRM system built in-house, they can trace a web lead through to the opportunity and revenue it generates. Early web leads are also starting to arrive through ChatGPT, a channel the team is watching closely as it grows.

"Every single country we have used BrightEdge in has increased, in rankings, in sessions, and in web leads."

What Other Brands Can Learn

Cluster by language first, then by country. Markets that share a language usually share more of their keyword and content strategy than the countries themselves would suggest.

Check what customers actually search in each market. Assumptions carried over from one English-speaking country to the next can hide real gaps in demand.

Build search into every project from day one, migrations included. Fixing SEO after launch costs more than building it in from the start.

Watch AI search with the same rigor as Google. The team is already tracking early ChatGPT leads alongside Google numbers.
